African Daisy Blossom - Graphite Sketch

I've been busy traveling a bit lately and haven't had a chance to do much drawing. But I am tired of looking at my last post! :) So, I figured I would upload a sketch I did a few years ago of an African Daisy blossom.

I love the unique shape of the petals, which are also known as a Spoon Daisy or Spider White. Hope you enjoy it, too!

I love this! I picture it making a perfect umbrella for a little brown mouse in the garden on a rainy summer day! You do beautiful work!! :))))))

I've never seen an African daisy and I love the details on the ends of the petals. And I sooo wish I could really draw. Apparently, my seventh grade art teacher thought I showed promise, but my mom thought it was a waste of time and money to pay for lessons ($7 at the time. Sigh.)
